When photographing people, I really enjoy the moments where people aren’t thinking about having their photo taken. Moments of pure joy, giggles, eyes closed is a bonus. I put together this portrait series from past shoots with some of my favorite natural expressions of happiness.
Duy proposed to Jen on the beach at Golden Gardens, so they felt it would be special to incorporate some beachy photos into their engagement session too. We began their portraits at the Olympic Sculpture Park and ended at Discovery Park South Beach as the sun set. Their love is so playful, sweet and fun. Congratulations again on getting engaged. I’m really looking forward to photographing your wedding next year!
…and now to the photos! With all of the organizations Toni is working with, she needed some professional portraits to represent herself. You can really see her radiant personality in these photos. Loved photographing her! How gorgeous is she?
Christina came to me with the idea of doing a relatively ambiguous portrait session playing with “masculinity” and “femininity”. She started in the studio wearing a mens suit, borrowed from a friend, and ended the shoot in a dress. This was one of the most fun shoots to photograph!
I had a lot of fun photographing this lovely family at Luther Burbank Park. Cheryl feels like little Charlie is growing up so fast and she wanted to document their family while he is still young. Look at those bright blue eyes and beautiful curls!
